With the Ex Directive 94/9 / EC, the European Community has established a basis for binding uniform quality requirements with regard to the explosion protection of systems, devices and components
given by the above-mentioned EN standards of CENELEC and CEN standards organizations.
The implementation of the directives takes place in national regulations,
in Germany these are e.g. Equipment Safety Act and the
Industrial safety regulations.
According to the requirements of the operational safety regulation
(BetrSichV) we first create a risk assessment
for the operation / plant. This risk assessment will then become an integral part of the explosion protection document
according to §6 BetrSichV.
